Our purpose is to supplement the family by directing kids to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. We call our ministry here “The Great KidVenture”, because each and every week we have an exciting adventure where we learn about Jesus and the kind of people He wants us to be.
The Great KidVenture:
Is a place where kids birth-5th grade learn about God, the kind of people He wants us to be, and how to live the Christian life at home, at school and in our neighborhoods. Kids will hear that the Bible is our guide and EVERYTHING in it is TRUE!!! We offer small groups where we can get to know other kids and adults as well as a large group environment that combines music, storytelling drama and video to teach and challenge kids. Classes are offered every Sunday mornings at 9-10am and Wednesday evenings 7-7:45 p.m.
Nursery is also available during the worship hour (10:30am) for children birth- Kindergarden (once your child enter’s Kindergarden we ask for them to start attending worship). Cell Groups: Sundays 9-10am (Birth-7th grade)
- 2 Year Olds-5 Year olds-In the Beginning… Growing into a Life of Faith:
This material makes learning the Bible fun! Children have the opportunity to actively participate in a curriculum that is child-targeted, relevant and teaches the Bible creatively. It helps provide an emotionally, physically, and spiritually safe environment for kids, and foster family involvement through take –home sheets, which include a family activity to reinforce the key concept from the lesson. - K-4th Grade- Doing Life with God in the Picture:
Developing kids that are being transformed by Grace, Growth, Group, Gifts and Good Stewardship…or as we call them the 5 G’s. - 5th-7th Grade-THEE QUEST: Abraham left the familiarity in the dust as he pursued God’s plan for his life! This unique study of Genesis 12-40 will bring the Patricharchs into the students’ everyday experience!
Cell Groups: Wednesday nights 2 1/2 year olds -4th grade:
- Fruits of the Spirit Bible Study: Kids are learning that God the Holy Spirit isn’t here just to hang out, or to do a miracle or two for sport but that the Spirit is there to cause things to happen in peoples’ lives that bring them more in tune with God’s purposes on earth (and beyond). When the Spirit starts changing someone, it shows as a growth in character, a change in their way of life that is good for the people they live among. This change in character is called a ‘fruit of the Spirit’, like the fruit grown by a tree can feed people and wildlife. From ancient times to today, abundant fruit from an orchard is seen as cause for hope and celebration. Abundant spiritual fruit also breeds hope and is well worth celebrating
- SUMMER STUDY: Summer Fun (Starting June 23rd)!!! We will take a break from our “normal Wednesday Night Routine” and have a nightly devotion then enjoy God’s Creation outside playing games & some water activities.
2010 VBS: Saddle Ridge Ranch- June 13th-17th
(Ages: birth – 12th Grade & Adult Bible Study) 6:00-8:00 pm Where kids will be ridin’ the range and roundin’ up questions like: “What is God’s plan for me?” and “How can I be like Jesus?” At the end of the day, they’ll discover that God’s Word has all the answers.
